Children’s Library Construction 2023

Updates!

The new children’s area is now open!

When you enter the building, go to the left instead of the right and you will find yourself in the new space.

Some things may be a little different due to the division of the spaces.

Our outside return bins, in front of the library, are now split . The one on the left is for children’s items and the one on the right is for adult/young adult items. They are labelled near the return slots. (photos posted at the bottom of the photos below)

When you request a book from another library or from our library shelves, the shelves where we hold those items are now split as well. The adult/young adult items you have requested are on the right side of the building and the children’s items you have requested are on the left side of the building in the new children’s area.

You can check out items from both sides of the building.

DVDs & Museum Passes are still only available in the adult/young adult section of the library.

Currently, fines & purchases can only be paid in the adult/young adult area of the library, but this will change in the future.

We plan on hosting a grand opening event some time in December.
