Seed Library

Mission

The Rachel Kohl Seed Library is a volunteer-led initiative dedicated to fostering a love of gardening, sustainability, and nature within our community. Through the sharing of donated vegetable, herb, and flower seeds, we provide free access to resources that encourage learning and growing. We also offer garden-related workshops and host fundraisers to support and sustain both the Seed Library and the Rachel Kohl Community Library garden.

Vision

Our vision is to cultivate a thriving, connected community grounded in the philosophy of abundance—where knowledge, seeds, and opportunities to learn about gardening are freely shared and accessible to all. We strive to strengthen community stewardship of the environment by fostering partnerships with local Bird Town and Bee City initiatives, as well as collaborating with townships, organizations, and businesses. Together, we aim to grow a more sustainable, engaged, and nature-centered community.
