2015 at a Glance

This year we have added iPads, robots and snap circuits to our programming tools, started to create a mini makerspace with a 3D printer and Wacom tablet, and the Concordville-Chadds Ford Rotary Club graciously donated a new mobile computer lab.

We began a partnership with SCORE for small businesses, the American Red Cross for emergency preparedness, local hospitals for health topics, and others to bring a wide variety of information to our patrons.

We welcomed the GVHS Robotics Club here to hold a programming camp for students and started Teen Reading Lounge. We got out into the community with Books on Tap, a book club that meets at McKenzie Brew House and eBook workshops at retirement communities.

Your support helps make all these programs possible!

Did you know...?

In June 2015, we had 40 programs attended by 1,310 people!!

In July 2015, we had 11,000 people come through our doors!

One in every three people in our area has a library card!

Last year, our patrons checked out almost 18,000 eBooks!

Did you know if you borrow 2 adult library books, 4 kids library books and attend 2 library programs you have saved $116? *

From the Director’s Desk

It has been such a pleasure getting to know our patrons and to see how much the library means to everyone.  The deep sense of community truly makes this a special place to live and work in.

I look forward to getting to know even more of you!

We’ve had a wonderful year here at Rachel Kohl Library. We decorated cakes, played with Legos and traced our genealogy all right from our Community Room.  We were visited by owls and Storm Troopers, given gardening tips from pros and explored chemistry and weather with the Franklin Institute.

With your donation, we can continue to bring the very best to Rachel Kohl Library. Come on in and check us out!

Thank you,

Amy Abella

We Need Your Help!

Rachel Kohl Library is a nonprofit, community library.  We serve over 40,000 people in Western Delaware County.

Although we receive some funding through our municipalities, county and state aid; we depend on the generosity of our loyal patrons to help us continue to provide new and exciting programs and services.

Money from this campaign will go directly to the community through the development of our collection, programs for adults and children, technology services, and the improvement of our library.

Please consider making a gift of $100, $50, or whatever you can afford!
